WORLD HISTORY
This year long survey course of world history is a study of the development of civilization from ancient times through the two World Wars. Students will examine the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Students will also examine medieval Europe, the Industrial Revolution, the French Revolution, and the two World Wars. Throughout this course, students will analyze various primary source documents to enhance their understanding of cultural, political, geographical, and historical themes of world history. The following is a list of the units that will be studied:
- Unit 1: Intro to World History/Ancient Egypt
- Unit 2: Ancient Greece
- Unit 3: Ancient Rome/The Rise of Christianity
- Unit 4: The Rise of Europe (The Early Middle Ages)
- Unit 5: The High Middle Ages
- Unit 6: The Renaissance
- Unit 7: The French Revolution
- Unit 8: The Industrial Revolution
- Unit 9: World War I
- Unit 10: World War II
